As we double down on our efforts to work with more businesses across South Wales, the natural next step was to bring local language skills into the team, so we’re excited to introduce Eleni Jones, our latest Marketing & PR Assistant, and first native Welsh speaker!
Eleni graduated from Cardiff University’s JOMEC, where she achieved her degree in Journalism and Communications. Whilst studying at university, Eleni’s interest was captured by the diversity of career paths in the marketing and PR industry, which she went on to study in more depth during her final year.
“University really opened my eyes to how many avenues I could venture down using the skill set my education provided me with, and I found myself drawn by the variation and opportunity within marketing and PR.”
Eleni’s role at TMPR is her break into the communications industry! Eleni comes full of enthusiasm, eager to learn and brings fresh ideas with a modern perspective. She joins the team with a strong background in social media management, which is already being put to great use developing TMPR’s Facebook page as the agency prioritises increasing engagement with the wider Penarth community.
Out of office, Eleni can usually be found making her way through the menu at the newest must-try restaurant, or in an M&S Foodhall! A massive foodie and a whizz in the kitchen, Eleni arguably brings the most enviable lunches into the office. A lover of M&S clothing (the more sustainable, the better), borderline obsessed with Sabrina Carpenter, slightly addicted to fine-line tattoos and with an ever-expanding Jellycat family, Eleni truly is your typical twenty-something woman, and we wouldn’t have her any other way.
“At TMPR, we believe that fostering raw talent and supporting the next generation of marketers is a vital investment in the business’ future and growth of our team,” says Louise Morgan, TMPR Director. “In the short time Eleni has been with the agency, she has more than demonstrated her potential by tackling any task with enthusiasm, providing support across multiple projects for a range of clients and blending effortlessly into the team.”
“My first month at TMPR has flown by,” continues Eleni. “If you’d have told me on my first day that I would be where I am now, I wouldn’t believe you! I could not have come this far without such a supportive team, I’m beyond grateful for the patience and understanding that has been shown by everybody. Being new to absolutely everything could have been overwhelming, but with such friendly and knowledgeable colleagues, the best lesson I have learnt in the past month is – there is no such thing as a stupid question!”
