Monthly Roundup – May 2026

It’s been another busy month, with lots of awards activity, preparations for our birthday celebrations, team milestones, and time spent reflecting on how we live our values.

As we head into June, the countdown is officially on for our 15th year in business – and the team has been getting into party mode to mark the occasion in true TMPR style.

Awards, Awards, Awards

May was a big month for awards at TMPR, with shortlists, sponsorships and amazing client wins to celebrate.

The team were proud to see Louise Morgan shortlisted for Director of the Year at the Institute of Directors Awards 2026 – a fantastic achievement, and one that feels especially meaningful as we celebrate 15 years in business.

Louise and Jessica also had the pleasure of attending the Chambers Wales Business Awards 2026 alongside Matt and Sam from Wild Creations.

It was a fantastic evening, with Wild Creations winning Exporter of The Year and being highly commended in the Wales Creative Impact category. A huge congratulations to the team on some very well-deserved results!

This year, we were also proud to sponsor the StartUp Business of the Year category. Congratulations to Spacebands on the win, and a big well done to all of the businesses shortlisted in the category.

We also want to give a special shoutout to our client Avantis Education, for winning a King’s Award for Enterprise 2026 in Innovation which was announced this month!

This is an incredible achievement for the team, and we’re especially proud of our colleague Mollie, whose hard work helped bring Avantis centre stage.

On your doorstep campaign

This month we began our ‘on your door step’ campaign, highlighting the places that have shaped and inspired us here in Penarth.

As an agency rooted in South Wales, we’ve always believed that some of the best inspiration comes from close to home. So, in the lead up to our birthday, we’ve been reflecting on our journey and spotlighting the landmarks that make us feel proud of where we’re based.

A huge thank you to our Graphic Designer & Brand Guardian Rachel, who spearheaded the campaign and created a series of beautiful line drawings of iconic local spots. Great work Rach!

Values workshop

Following the results of the annual TMPR Tap, May was the time to turn insights into action.

We welcomed Leanne Bird to 2HT, who helped us take a deeper look at each of our values, what they mean to us, how we’re living them day-to-day, and where we can improve.

The workshop gave us the opportunity to connect our values to real behaviours and actions, creating more clarity around what each value looks like in practice.

A big thank you to Leanne for hosting such an insightful and productive session, and for helping us build strong foundations to take forward.

Team news

  • Jess celebrated her two year anniversary at TMPR
  • Rach joined Caerphilly Business Club’s breakfast networking with CTA – great food, great chat and some great connections!
  • Jess attended ChambersSESWM’s Wellbeing Forum, which focused on supporting carers in the workplace
  • Rach attended Cardiff Life Coffee Club
  • We welcomed Tom back to the office, who took a few weeks off for the trip of a lifetime travelling around Asia. It’s good to have you back, Tom!

Good luck, Steve

To round off May, we’re waving off Steve as he begins his freelance journey.

The team celebrated with a few drinks and a delicious meal at Kegbelly on Penarth seafront, giving Steve a proper TMPR send-off.

We wish Steve all the very best with this exciting new venture and look forward to continuing to work with him in a new way.

You’ll be missed in the office, Steve!

As we head into June, all eyes are on TMPR’s 15th birthday celebrations.

A milestone that means a huge amount to the team, and a chance for us to reflect on the people, clients, partners and moments that have shaped the agency to where it is now over the years.

We’re looking forward to celebrating in true TMPR style. See you next month for a full debrief on the celebrations!
