TMPR Celebrates Real Living Wage Anniversary
Penarth-based B2B marketing and PR agency, TMPR, is celebrating again this month after marking its first anniversary as a Real Living Wage accredited employer.
The latest in the long line of celebrations throughout 2024, which include a major rebrand and two shortlists in the Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards, TMPR is especially proud of its commitment to the Real Living Wage.
“According to the Living Wage Foundation, more than a tenth of all workers in Wales (12.9%) earn less than they need to get by, with around 161,000 jobs paying less than the real Living Wage,” explains Louise Morgan, TMPR founder and Director.
“We believe in building trust, empowering growth and acting sustainably, so being an accredited Real Living Wage employer firmly aligns with our values.”
The real Living Wage is the only rate calculated according to the costs of living. It provides a voluntary benchmark for employers that wish to ensure their staff earn a wage they can live on, not just the government minimum. Since 2011 the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to over 460,000 people and put £3 billion extra into the pockets of low paid workers.
